Our History

In pursuit to fulfil our Vision, a community of believers impacting the world with the gospel of our lord Jesus Christ through the transforming power of the Holy spirit, CITAM Kitengela was born among the seven-church plants vision 2019 in commemoration of the sixtieth anniversary since the inception of CITAM.
CITAM Kitengela is traced back from a humble beginning when the lead Pastor Rev. Erastus Oyando was appointed to pioneer the church with the support of three elders seconded from CITAM Athi River, Elders Gitau Nyotu, Andrie Kariithi and Zack Lewa to engage in spiritual mapping and search for a facility to launch the church.
Prayers begun in May in one of the member’s house where a small number of leaders would meet every Sunday evening for prayer as the search for land to lease or plug and play facility went on. Consequently, we identified a hall at Kaputiei Safari land Hotel through a woman of peace Dorcus Omondi and moved in to begin our Sunday afternoon prayers from 4.00pm – 6.00 pm in June 2019.
The first inauguration service was held at Kaputiei gardens on 21st July 2019,which attracted a congregation of over 1000 people. Two weeks later, Sunday school was launched in hotel room facilities as the church hit the ground with a bang as a running baby with two services at 9:00am and 11:00am

Progressively immediate missions activities followed in September with mega crusades, medical camp and heavens gates hell’s flames drama at the heart of Kitengela town.
We closed the year 2019 with a population of 700 adults and 300 children as we received first time visitors every Sunday. Another milestone was the answered prayer as we identified and acquired our current four and half acre parcel of land as the church property. The leadership received the land with joy and thanksgiving.
Though the spontaneous growth of the church was seriously affected by church closure due to covid in 2020 and 2021, we thank God for the current revival and population of about 1000 adults and 600 children. We are looking forward for greater growth in the years to come.
The Assembly is led by Rev. Stanley Amukoa-Senior Pastor, Rev. James Munyiri – Deputy Senior Pastor and Pst. Brian Operu- Youth Pastor & Pst. Felix Ochuot. Administrative staff include Neema Nanjala – Finance & Administration Officer, Diana Mukunu – Administrative Assistant and Daniel N. Gachoka – Sound Technician. The advisory and heads of various ministries and fellowships also play a vital role in fulfilling the mission of God.
